In sewing, elastic is a notion which is sold in narrow strips and generally serves to increase the ability of garment to stretch, either to accommodate movement or to make the garment suitable for wearers of many different physical sizes.
Cord Elastic
Composed of nylon sheath, the cord elastic offers little stretch and is a great choice for making jewellery and other accessories.
Knitted Elastic
A soft elastic with a smooth touch which does not shrink. It is suitable option for sewing lighter fabrics.
Woven Elastic
It is a firm elastic which is mostly used in stiffer garment as it neither crumples nor gets disfigured when stretched.
Braided
This variety of fabrics usually shrinks when stretched, thus it is preferable to sew it inside the fabric cover.
Velvet Elastic
A very high grade and resilient elastic, used for producing high quality garments with an elegant lustre.
Draw Cold Elastic
It is an easy-to-use elastic which has a synthetic drawstring dividing it into two equal halves. It can be directly sewn over the garment.
Mask Elastic
It is a thin elastic used for making sure your face mask stays in place as the elastic loops against your ears.
Gel Elastic
They are types of gels which have elastic abilities as they can bend and flex depending on the pressure applied.
Folding Elastic
A very stable elastic used for sewing over the outlines of highly flexible garments. It is available in a wide variety of colours.
Gripping Elastic
This elastic has a rubber grip on its inside surface which prevents your tucked in shirts from getting loose.
Lurex Fancy Elastic
A glittering lustrous elastic made out of synthetic fibres, used for decoration on garments. It is available in a wide variety of colours.
